I’ve grilled on a Big Green Egg and a Weber charcoal BBQ before. For “no fire allowed” situations, I’ve always desired an electric barbecue. When it comes to scorching meat, this grill comes near to that of a charcoal barbecue.
It does get pretty hot for the initial searing, according to other reviews. After letting the grill heat up on high for 20 minutes, I filled it with 12 boneless chicken breast halves and Kicken Chicken seasoning.
It sears beautifully and cooks for a total of 25 minutes. It was fantastic. This is on its way to my airplane hangar, where I’ll be cooking with fellow pilots on weekends where open flames are prohibited.
